ELEVAX V-3®️ is ready to use immediately after the package is opened, regardless of what materials and surfaces you are working with. In order to ensure the best adhesion and durability, please follow those guidelines and instructions on how to prepare the substrate and the quantity of adhesive to be used depending on the type of material.

1. SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate should be even and solid, free of dust, grit, soot, greases, oils, wax, lime and other material. In order to even out the substrate, commercially available levelling mortar can be used. In the case of humidity-absorbing substrate, such as gypsum, it is recommended to prime the surface with the adhesive mortar diluted in water to the consistence of cream. Small cracks and fissures can be repaired with diluted mortar adhesive.

2. ADHESIVE MORTAR AND TOOL PREPARATION

The adhesive does not require any preparation, as it is read to use immediately after the package is opened.

3. ATTACHING TILES AND OTHER ELEMENTS

Please note that Elevax V-3 is a thin-set adhesive mortar. This means that the maximum bonding efficiency can be achieved with small amount of adhesive mortar. Bonding should be done in ambient temperature range from +4°C to +25°C. Apply the adhesive mortar to the prepared substrate using a toothed spatula with 2-4 mm teeth. The quantity of the mortar applied at a time should make it possible to attach the bonded elements not later than 30 minutes after the application of the mortar. The tile position adjustment time is from 20 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the thickness of the adhesive mortar layer. The floor can be used not sooner than 24 hours after bonding the tiles. The joint will reach its optimal strength after 3 days. After three days, the tiles can be grouted using commercially available grout. Complete cross-linking of acrylic resins takes 3-4 weeks. This is important when the adhesive mortar is applied in wet rooms and outdoors, as the joint must not be exposed to sub-zero temperatures and permanent presence of water within the first four weeks. After the complete cross-linking has been achieved, the joint becomes water- and frost-resistant. The tools should be washed in clean water immediately after use.

4. CONSUMPTION

0,6 - 1,0 kg/m2 - smooth surfaces (gypsum, wood) and smooth tiles (cork, styrofoam)
1,2 - 1,8 kg/m2 - for wall tiles on a concrete or plaster substrate
1,6 - 2,5 kg/m2 - for tiling, floor tiles and wall cladding

WARNING! KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN SIMILARY TO ANY OTHER CHEMICAL AGENT!

5. STORAGE

The adhesive mortar can be stored in sealed original packaging at +4°C ÷ +25°C  for 24 months from the date of manufacture. If some of the adhesive mortar is used, level the remaining mortar in the bucket, cover with foil, close the over and store at +4°C ÷ +25°C.
